The Staffing Industry’s Social Influencers Revealed

486140535 (1)With 1.1 billion Facebook users, 500 million twitter users and 1 in 4 people accessing the web from their mobile devices, a social media strategy is not just a nice-to-have, it is a necessity to engage with candidates and your staffing industry peers.

As a people business, recruiters are ideally placed to take advantage of networking websites and now, Resume-Library has created a leader board to show which staffing agencies are leading the way with their social media presence.

Resume-Library, powered by Klout, measured the companies influence across their social media channels and provided them with a score and a ranking in the Staffing Agency Power 500 (SAP500). The Klout algorithm measures the influence of a company’s social media, taking into account follower and following count, retweets, list members, number of spam account followers, unique mentions, and how influential those retweeting their content are.

Managing Director Lee Biggins says: ‘Social media is an important part of the staffing spectrum, but it can be incredibly difficult to leverage placements. We’re proud to have released the SAP500 which identifies those who have successfully dealt with this challenge.

The SAP500 is released on a weekly basis and the top achievers and climbers will be alerted via twitter (#SAP500 from @ResumeLibrary).

Upon the launch of the SAP500 the top five ranking agencies were:

  • Vitamin T
  • Careers IN Gov
  • Robert Half
  • CA Staffing Pros
  • Aquent

The leader board does not just include Resume-Library’s partners: the SAP500 provides an impartial view of the staffing community, to reward those going above and beyond with their social media.

If you are interested in seeing how your social media measures up, you can submit your twitter handle to the leader board. Companies that are successful in placing in the SAP 500 also receive a downloadable badge that can be displayed on their social media profiles or website to demonstrate their achievement.
