How Can Community Involvement Affect Your Marketing Goals?

Your staffing firm is driven by many goals. Whether it’s finding more candidates, acquiring more clients or managing growth your business is always working towards something.

While executing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy plays an important role in achieving those goals, stepping out into your community and getting involved can have a big impact, too. It makes sense: People feel good about working with companies who do good.

Here are three different ways you can get involved in your community and make it count:

1.Volunteer Opportunities. Wherever you live, there are likely hundreds of local organizations that are looking for volunteers. By partnering with these organizations, you have a chance to not only network and meet other people in your community, but you can also create relationships that will help strengthen bonds.

This tactic can also be used to improve your internal culture. It’s good for your team to get out of the office and volunteer. Giving your employees time to help others demonstrates that your company cares about its employees, as well as the greater good of your community.

2. Sponsorship Opportunities. Little leagues, sports camps, and fundraising events. These are all ways you can get involved in the community. Right outside the doors of your office is a plethora of sponsorship opportunities for your staffing or recruiting firm.

In addition to being a great way to support your community, sponsoring a local event is also a great branding tool. Typically, organizers create promotional materials to publicize their event and will include your company’s logo and other contact information on them. So, whether it’s in the form of a jersey, a flyer or a banner, these materials are a great way to build name recognition. When event attendees see that you are involved with organizations striving to do good, they will associate your business with these happy times.

3. Job Fairs. While a job fair might seem like “just another day at the office” for you and your staffing firm, they are also a good way to get involved with your community. Local high schools and colleges are always looking for businesses to show-off their expertise at career fairs.

It’s never too early to get in front of potential future candidates. If you make a good impression with these students, they will think of your business down the road when they are looking for their first career opportunity.

The next time you’re planning your marketing strategy, think about what your business could do outside of your current digital plan. Incorporating community involvement into your staffing firm’s marketing strategy is a great way to heighten your visibility and build your reputation as a generous and thoughtful business in your community.
